UICA Outside expands the Urban Institute for Contemporary Art’s impact city-wide and connects visitors to the vibrant neighborhoods that surround downtown Grand Rapids during ArtPrize 10.  Featuring three public projects in three different neighborhoods, UICA Outside draws together diverse artists, property owners, and GRR stakeholders to create artworks that are exciting and accessible to all.  Each neighborhood features large-scale works created by artists who reside and engage within their respective community or who have designed artworks with neighborhood input.  These public works activate what were once quiet and overlooked areas into powerful reflections of our neighbors, and create welcoming corridors and gathering places.  Join Caroline Cook as she “walks and talks” with you while you explore the West Side neighborhood and a large-scale mural under the Pearl St. bridge.  Learn and burn!

Members of UICA tickets are $7.50, public is $10.00 and children ages 18 and under are free.

Registration for this instance is closed.
